
Louisa considers herself a Singaporean Londoner, whose asian roots and urban London upbringing colour her creative inclinations. She spent 7 years running her own central London production design and art direction company, supplying sets, props and location dressing for tv, film and commercials. Her career started as a runner in 2002 when she worked at Pinewood studios by 2005 her first art direction credit was nominated for a Bafta.
She holds a BA Honors in Cultures & Belief Systems. Studying people, their differences, similarities and behaviour in any given situation brings a clarity to art direction and an excellence in recreating environments. Louisa uses anthropology to reason her approach to art direction. She is inspired by regional interests and art forms.
Louisa lectured in the faculty of Citizenship on Entrepreneurship for 3 successive years at the John Kelly All Girls school in Neasden West London. Comprised of a predominantly afro-asian demographic, her aim was to coach and encourage the girls their economic participation, and increase awareness of the social contract of citizenship its rights and responsibilities. Other experiences in recent years include travelling America, India and Asia taking photographs, topics such as New Orleans Mardi Gras, the Hindu Kumbh Mela in India and most recently Thingyan water festival in Myanmar. She also took the opportunity to engage in voluntary work , teaching English in Dharamasala to Tibetan refugees. Louisa has since returned to Singapore as creative director at Artison Asia. She is encouraged by this nation's unique place in the global upturn and keen to take part in its pioneering creative bloom.
