Stories of home and life in Singapore have been explored in film throughout the years and in ciNE65. The identity, culture and lifestyle of Singaporeans depicted in films are often a reflection of the life and times of living in Singapore.

Find out how different local filmmakers have portrayed Singapore in their films and be inspired to make your own short film! Films shown include Priceless and Tireless (dir. Kenny Tan), #12-99 (dir. Jeth Heng), Saga Seed and Ang Ku Kueh (dir. Chong Yu Lun).

The filmmakers will also share the inspiration and process in creating these stories of home.

As Singapore's first boutique digital film lab, MochaChai Laboratories provides digital services including DCP mastering and colour grading. This field trip will allow viewers to get an insight of the workings of the postproduction process. Founder and filmmaker Chai Yee Wei will share more about the facilities in their lab and the Director of Sound; Lim Ting Li will share about the importance of sound in a film.
